How to communicate a cisco router in Redhat Linux

how to communicate a cisco routers in redhat Linux.

First you check the serial port whether its active or not by using the command
#dmesg ! grep ttys

and use the minicom
Minicom is a friendly serial communication program like as hyperterminal.

Try it..
